A 4 Step Guide to Lasting Longer In Bed



t's easy to say the trick to lasting longer in bed is to relax. But if were that easy, you'd have already done that. A more practical approach? Treat it like an athlete building new muscles—specifically, the ones around your lungs.
"If anybody trains you on a sport, they're going to train you first on your breathing," says Kumi Sawyers, an instructor at Sky Ting Yoga in New York. "If you begin to work with your breath, just like you would in a yoga class, or if you're running, or doing anything physical where you coordinate your breath and your movement, all of a sudden you create a rhythm."
That rhythm prevents you from holding your breath, tensing up, or freaking out. Rhythmic breathing gets oxygen to your muscles to relax them. With time, working with your body's rhythms increases stamina for longer stints in bed and multiple orgasms. And all you have to do is sit down and practice breathing. Here, Sawyers illustrates how.
The 4-Step Guide

Step 1: Start Breathing

Start with 25 breaths; over time, build to 100
Lie on your back, knees bent and resting against each other, and your feet wide and flat on the ground. Put one hand on your belly and the other on your heart, close your eyes, and relax into deep breaths. As you inhale, your belly hand will rise first, then your heart hand; as you exhale, the reverse.
Why: "You can fall into that state, and that's how you understand the rhythm of your own breath. Finding the rhythm of your own breath—not only through sex but all things—is going to improve your life, your endurance, and your ability to remain calm and not anxious."

Step 2: Start Rocking

Start with 25 breaths; over time, build to 100
Sit on a medium to low block in Hero's Pose: Legs folded comfortably under you at the knees and hands on your hips. As you breathe, begin to rock your pelvis back and forth on: forward on the inhale, backward on the exhale. Gradually, the rocking speed should increase to about one inhale-exhale cycle per second.
Why: "Think about your pelvic floor touching the block like a match, and you're striking the match onto the block, and that begins to create heat. That's really good for getting dormant sexual energy that you're storing in your pelvis."

 Just about every man, regardless of size, race, relationship status, or even frequency of sex, wants to last longer in bed. Longer-lasting sex typically results in more orgasms and generally more sexual satisfaction for both partners. So how do you do it?

Intercourse Brings Men to Orgasm Fastest

Sexual intercourse generates the most stimulation compared with other sexual activity and brings men to orgasm the fastest. Unfortunately, women receive only a small amount of clitoral stimulation by intercourse, so they typically desire fast and deep thrusting. This is often too much, too fast for most men. A rapid increase in penile stimulation from intercourse will bring most men to orgasm in just a few minutes.  Fortunately for you, we have six techniques that all men can easily do that can help you slow down.
Caution:  Before we get to what does work, let’s quickly discuss what DOESN’T WORK:  Anything related to thinking, or not thinking.  These so-called “distraction” methods simply don’t work. What does work are PHYSICAL methods.

Our Favorite Six Methods

After researching all the various physical methods and discussing them with top sex therapists and urologists, here are our six favorites.
1. Masturbate.

Masturbate the same day you plan to have sex. Have you ever had sex within minutes or hours after having completing sex that same day?  You have probably noticed how much longer it takes to reach orgasm the second time. Masturbating has a similar effect. After ejaculation, your body needs time to recover. This is called the refractory period. But this extends beyond achieving an erection and simply being able to have sex again. This recovery time also lengthens a man’s time to ejaculation. 
2. More foreplay. A slow build-up of stimulation will allow you to last longer. And that starts with foreplay. By starting with various forms of foreplay, your allowing your penis to adapt to a slow increase in stimulation, so when it’s time for intercourse, your penis is going from 45 to 60, not from zero to 60.
3. Start / Stop Method.  Most men know this one without having to read about.  You get close to having orgasm and you stop to recover. The mistake the most men make, however, is that they wait until they’re almost to ejaculation before stopping intercourse. The problem is that the closer you are to orgasm when you stop, the smaller the amount of stimulation needed upon starting again to orgasm.  So, the key is to stop, then start in a planned way. You’ll probably find that, with each start/stop cycle, you’ll spend less time in the “stop” period and more time in the “start” period.
4. Squeeze Technique. From a pleasure point of view, this is our least favorite. However, it is very effective. And it’s exactly as the name implies. As you get closer to orgasm, have your partner squeeze your penis along the shaft until your desire to ejaculate goes away.
5. Sex Positions. Certain positions can help men delay orgasm. Try positions that either reduce penetration depth or apply more pressure on the top side of the penis. Full penetration maximizes stimulation while stimulation to the underside, especially the frenulum, typically drives men to ejaculation faster than stimulation. Some basic positions to help a man last longer, without needing the flexibility of a gymnast, include: woman on top, spooning (lying side by side), perpendicular (pressing the top side of the penis against the vulva), and modified doggy style (where she is lying on her belly instead of on her knees).

The good news is that fish is an amazing food for fighting heart disease and diabetes. This in turn makes it an amazing food for fighting erectile dysfunction. Why is this? Because of the POWERFUL Omega-3 fatty acids it contains.

You've probably heard of Omega-3s before.


Long story short, Omega-3s are "good fats" and your body needs fats to keep up your testosterone levels, among other things. Bad fats on the other hand, like trans fats and excessive saturated fats, clog arteries, including the ones in your penis that allow you to get erections.

3 Easy Exercises to Kill or Avoid Erectile Dysfunction

A big part of erectile dysfunction is your circulatory system. Or rather, problems with your circulatory system, like heart disease for example. And the best way to keep your circulatory system in good health is getting some regular exercise.


While practically every exercise imaginable contributes to cardiovascular health, there are some that are better than others. Let's take a quick look at 3 easy-to-do exercise that can help you kill ED, or lower your risk of developing it.

Pelvic Floor Exercises 

Despite the odd sounding name, this exercise does not actually involve you doing pelvic thrusts on the floor, or something goofy like that. The pelvic floor actually refers to the muscles that support your bladder and bowels.
Strengthening these muscles can ward off erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and impotence. It can also help you achieve more powerful ejaculation as well.


How to Do It 
Doing this exercise couldn't be easier. Just sit or lay down in a relaxed position and relax your abs, butt, and thighs. There, you're done. Easy right?

Just kidding. Once you're completely relaxed, tighten the muscles of your anus without squeezing your butt. This may sound tricky, but it's basically the same as when you try to stop yourself from peeing mid-stream, only this won't make your penis feel like it's on fire.
Basically you squeeze for 10 seconds, rest for 10 seconds. You can also mix it up with short 5 second squeezes as well.

Running

Why walk when you can run? Running is one of the best ways to stay lean, and keep your circulatory system healthy for long and strong erections in the bedroom. While running does take more effort than just walking, you get added benefits such as:

How to Do It

I shouldn't really have to explain this, so instead of telling you to put one foot in front of the other at a rapid pace, I'll give you a few tips on how to make the most of this exercise.

Stay Hydrated � You'll probably sweat a lot while running. Make sure you stay hydrated so you don't suffer dehydration, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke. But keep in mind that if you drink a ton of water minutes before you run, you could get a side stitch so drink a couple of hours in advance.

Wear Spandex � Unless you're thin as a rail you'll probably run the risk of chaffing if you run often. Buy some spandex underwear to keep your thighs protected while you run.

Carful with Your Knees � If you experience any knee pain while running, no matter how minor, stop. You should never exercise if there is pain involved, you'll just do more damage to your body.

Half Pushups

If running isn't your thing, this exercise may be for you. And the good news is, if you ever slacked off during gym class, you probably already know how to do this one.

The point of doing half pushups is to decrease the amount of muscle strength you're using, and increase the cardio aspect of the exercise. In other words, it's like doing more reps instead of pushing more weight if you were lifting weights so that you can lift longer.

How to Do It

This is simple. Do a pushup but only go halfway down, then come back up again, and repeat. You can do as many reps as you want as long as you really feel yourself getting a good workout.

WARNING: Don't attempt to do this exercise as fast as possible or you could injure your elbows, especially if you're older. Maintain a steady, comfortable rhythm.

More Exercises That Combat Erectile Dysfunction
